The Gouverneur takes the stage:

Balanced shapes meet Haute Horlogerie
in a fascinating new expression

The new Gouverneur line is a concentrated blend of the skills and history of Piaget. Introduced within the Black Tie collection, it reveals an exceptional horological mechanism enhanced by powerful formal expression. It presents three mechanical variations through automatic, chronograph and tourbillon models, each available in diamond-set pink or white gold versions. This exclusive new classic range from the Manufacture de Haute Horlogerie Piaget is also the story of two generations of designers, a father and his son.

Black Tie is first and foremost about elegant cases with a unique and distinctive design – Emperador, Emperador Coussin, Protocole, Rectangle à à l’Ancienne, and now Gouverneur –exclusively fitted with leather straps. Each of the models in the Black Tie collection features a remarkable level of decoration applied to the case, the movement and the dial. This degree of finishing is made possible by the in-house mastery encompassing not only the movements themselves, but also the production of original cases. The Black Tie collection not only showcases the Manufacture Piaget mechanical movements, but also distinguishes itself each year by incorporating most of the latest complications developed by the Manufacture.

PLAZA's Editor choice for best dressed at The 2012 GRAMMY AWARDS

I could never make up my mind about Rihanna who bares acres of gold-accented cleavage in a backless, belly-button plummeting black silk gown that she co-designed with Giorgio Armani.I am not sure If it rocked or flopped! Don’t get me wrong I would like to wear such a dress but I still believe it is way to daring for such an award ceremony!!

Nevertheless Gwyneth Paltrow, who, graced the Grammys with her Stella McCartney-clad presence, a dress that rocked her graceful figure. The black halter-neck gown accented with a gold belt and kicky flank cut-outs was so original simple and very creative yet was not the ultimate winner!

Finally Taylor Swift is the one I have crowned as best dressed with an intricately embroidered Zuhair Murad rose-gold beaded mermaid gown with a mandarin-style collar, cap sleeves and a cutout back. I must say it was the best she ever looked! Congratulations Taylor on your new best dressed Title.
